When a good painter paints a recognizable landscape or cityscape, he or she usually deserves a lot of admiration. A different view of the landscape, painted in expressionist style, abstract or with a free view of the subject where experience plays a major role, asks the viewer more than just admiration. Then it is about the feeling or a deeper insight into the work of the maker. What do you think of te ''3 Arboles'' ? The buyer of this art work from Reno/USA wrote: '' The work is phenomenal! Very pleased with it.''

Evert van Bommel (born 1931, The Hague-Holland) studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in his hometown. The Cobra Group (Copenhagen/Brussels/Amsterdam) around the famous painters Karel Appel and Jasper Jorn, were renewing inspirators in Europe of the modern art after the second world war. They were a great source of inspiration for Evert van Bommel. After being a draftsman/designer in the graphics industry, he was publicity manager, art director and international freelance graphic designer. In the year 2000 Evert van Bommel settled as a c ontemporary painter and worked mainly on the Spanish Costa del Sol. It may be interesting to note that Evert van Bommel (1931- ) shares a common forefather with the wellknown Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan (1872-1944) and is also related to the great Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890).
