About The Artwork

All components are painted on acid-free mount-board, and then stuck onto acid-free mount-board. Two coats of matte acrylic varnish are then applied. I am contemporaneously documenting current affairs through art. Every piece is numbered and goes into my book series, OF OUR TIMES. Ralph Lazar chronicles his own life and the world around him. In January and February 2020, his artwork appeared on 1,700 digital screens across New York City. Recurring themes through his work are current affairs, race relations, Civil Rights, US Presidential history, the US Supreme Court and the US Constitution.
