ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Resort season has gone, a month or so ago, this beach was full of revelers, taking the sun and sea bath. Now, the seaside is almost empty and quiet, only sea waves and some fishers enjoying their fish catching on concrete breakwaters... UPD Effective from March 2020, each of my paintings available and forthcoming will be assigned with eight digits Unique Identification Number (UID) which can be seen in the back of my canvases, in the title of artwork on the web and duplicated on Certificate of Authenticity and hashtagged in social media. Thus each artwork can be easily identified and traced wherever it found. Thus if you see this UID you can be sure you deal with my original artwork even if name and image looks alike with other one. Disclaimer: I do my best to preserve natural colors of my paintings while photo and upload them on internet, however, original colors may differentiate from what you see on display of your smart device or computer. As it pretty much depends on the color setting of your gadget. Please consider this particularity. Thank you!

I was born and raised, in Volgograd region, Russia. In 1988 I moved to South Ukraine. To become an artist is apparently have been designed by my destiny and the history of my family. It began in 19 centuries, when artist Vasily Tropinin (1776 – 1857), founder of Russian Romanticism in fine art, master of realistic and romantic portrait lived in family of my ancestor count Hercules Morkov (Irakly Morcoff). This great artist was a teacher of art for kids of his master. This fact probably influenced all the next generations of my family, which had a number of artists and and other creative persons. Including but not limited honored artist of Russia Nikolay Bortnikov honored artist of Ukraine Tatiana Kuznetsova. Among those who lives now, there is an Israel artist Natalia Kuznetsova. Since my childhood my thirst of drawing has been actively encouraged by my parents and relatives. My starting point on the way towards big art was a kid's fine art school in the city of Volgograd, Russia. The school gave me initial art education. The fine art school named had helped me to understand that being a painter is my call, profession and destiny. After graduation I worked as restorer in in art Aivazovsky art gallery. Presently I am a freelancer artist and as such I live active creative life, participating in all level of art-exhibitions. Great part of my life I spend in organized and solo open-air paintings and other pleinair art-events. I travel a lot over Ukraine, Russia and Europe.
