'A Group Portrait' of the string family is one of the five large oil paintings that I have created with the String theory as the inspirational trigger. The content of the work, to me, has traveled well and is more evocative than when it was created. Calligraphy of the Strings and their body language on the canvas provide endless scenarios and inspirational possibilities to contemplate. This painting is very well studied, detailed and executed. It is a highly textured work using mixed media and oil paint. No varnish or similar is applied after finish and frame less hanging of the work is made possible by having all sides painted.

Said Akhzar is a full-time artist who lives and works out of South Pasadena, California, United States. Inspired themes and images that I start a work with gradually merge and infuse at the beginning and some of them develop and resurface with a whole new identity and character that influence the work.. By using many layers of oil paint and mixed materials I attempt to paint a visual articulation of some of the emergent influences. Visual depth and diverse content of any of my paintings, hopefully, provides the viewer with a satisfying visual feast. Some of my work also takes a few years to mature and some also take a long time to finish. Every abstract artwork, I believe, is embedded with some degree of prophetic content that may surface as time goes by.
