Albert Einstein: Dad, I want to be a physicist. Mr. Einstein: What do they grow, son? Albert Einstein: They don't grow anything. Mr. Einstein: Well what's the use of them then? Brian Asprin: [Scientists in Australia are listening to Einstein playing Rock and Roll music on the radio] That's Albert's music. Lunatic Professor: Yes, crikey yes! That's 4/4 time. Ernest Rutherford: 4/4 time; that'll drain the power out of anything. Marie Curie: [Scene returns to the Academy of science in France, Einstein continues to play the electric guitar, the 'Extreme Danger' warning light on the bomb flashes then goes out, the 'Overload' warning light starts flashing showing that the bomb is been drained of its energy] It's working. Whatever you are doing keep doing it, it's working! Mrs. Einstein: [Alluding to intimacy] Father? Mr. Einstein: [Has been drinking beer all day] Not now mother I've got a headache! Albert Einstein: That's it! That's the theory of relativity! Light travels to us from the hands of the clock, to tell us the time. But, if we were to travel away from the clock at the speed of light... Marie Curie: The hands of the clock would appear to have stopped! Albert Einstein: Time would stand still! This moment *would* last forever. Albert Einstein: Just a moment Marie, I'm having an idea. Albert Einstein: If you can't trust the Governments of the world, who can you trust? from ‘Young Einstein’ (1988) Starring Yahoo! Serious (Reckless Kelly), Odile Le Clezio (The Hunter), Peewee Wilson, John Howard (The People Eater), Kaarin Fairfax (StalkHer), Su Cruickshank, and Jonathan Coleman (The Shrimp on the Barbie). Written by Yahoo Serious and David Roach (Beneath Hill 60). Directed by Greg Pead (Mr. Accident). Young Einstein is a 1988 Australian comedy film written, produced, directed by and starring Yahoo Serious. It is a fantasized account of the life of Albert Einstein which alters all people, places and circumstances of his life, including relocating the theoretical physicist to Australia, having him splitting the atom with a chisel, and inventing rock and roll and surfing. Although highly successful in Australia, and winning an award from the Australian Film Institute Awards, it was poorly received by critics in the United States. At the APRA Music Awards of 1990, the soundtrack won Most Performed Australasian Work for Film. Source: Wikipedia

I’m (I am?) a self-taught artist, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago (also known as John Hughes' America). Born in 1984, I started painting in 2017 and began to take it somewhat seriously in 2019. I currently reside in rural Montana and live a secluded life with my three dogs - Pebbles (a.k.a. Jaws, Brandy, Fang), Bam Bam (a.k.a. Scrat, Dinki-Di, Trash Panda, Dug), and Mystique (a.k.a. Lady), and five cats - Burglekutt (a.k.a. Ghostmouse Makah), Vohnkar! (a.k.a. Storm Shadow, Grogu), Falkor (a.k.a. Moro, The Mummy's Kryptonite, Wendigo, BFC), Nibbler (a.k.a. Cobblepot), and Meegosh (a.k.a. Lenny). Part of the preface to the 'Complete Works of Emily Dickinson helps sum me up as a person and an artist: "The verses of Emily Dickinson belong emphatically to what Emerson long since called ‘the Poetry of the Portfolio,’ something produced absolutely without the thought of publication, and solely by way of expression of the writer's own mind. Such verse must inevitably forfeit whatever advantage lies in the discipline of public criticism and the enforced conformity to accepted ways. On the other hand, it may often gain something through the habit of freedom and unconventional utterance of daring thoughts. In the case of the present author, there was no choice in the matter; she must write thus, or not at all. A recluse by temperament and habit, literally spending years without settling her foot beyond the doorstep, and many more years during which her walks were strictly limited to her father's grounds, she habitually concealed her mind, like her person, from all but a few friends; and it was with great difficulty that she was persuaded to print during her lifetime, three or four poems. Yet she wrote verses in great abundance; and though brought curiosity indifferent to all conventional rules, had yet a rigorous literary standard of her own, and often altered a word many times to suit an ear which had its own tenacious fastidiousness." -Thomas Wentworth Higginson "Not bad... you say this is your first lesson?" "Yes, but my father was an *art collector*, so…"
