Born and raised in Hong Kong, a special administrative region city of China and a colony of the British Empire until 1997, Sally grew up under the unique cultural blend of Western and Eastern worlds. This background planted the seed of her worldly view that all humans, the planet, and the universe are essentially all connected as a whole. She moved to the United States in 2001 and graduated with a BFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. As a human mind enthusiast, she understands life is a tumultuous journey of inevitable joys and grievances. Through the power of self-awareness and awakening our inner child, we can all heal our scars and find our inner peace by facing our emotions - our inner truth. Her body of work is a constant exploration of possibilities, imaginations, self-reflection, and the expression of love and hope. By connecting our emotions and consciousness through vibrant, bold, and intuitive visual elements, she creates a parallel universe with the collective memories from all of us. As an experienced multimedia artist with a full breadth of techniques in technology and art, she has worked in various art forms, including painting, mixed media, multimedia, to create soul-reflecting art. Her works have been exhibited in the SF Bay Area, where she currently resides, and her artworks have been collected throughout the US and internationally.
