Dear Art Lover, I am a British Artist: born in London and living in Paris. I am of Caribe Indian, French and African descendant. My Mother taught me the primary techniques and furnished my passion by buying me art equipment, books and oil paints when I was a child. After a classical Fine Art education, I was particularly inspired by the land and seascapes that I encountered through my passion for travelling. At some point in time, I felt the need to break away from my Fine Arts heritage and express my land and seascapes with chromatic lyricism and emotion. You will notice that I have a tendency to meander between the figurative and the abstract world with a limited of colours. This I develop into a multitude of tones, which I believe are most representative of my inner vision, or my interpretation of how I see nature, which I incorporate with light and movement. Nature has always been a great source of inspiration for me. There is just so much to explore. I’m more likely to paint when I am feeling serene, as I feel that I am more in tune with my inner vision. And when I am on a good run, I try not to be analytic or self-questioning; I just go with the flow. This is why I enjoy working in the acrylic medium so much, as it is so spontaneous. It dries quickly and has strong colours and enables me to get my ideas down quickly and avoid hesitating. Someone once asked me what painting meant to me? I could only say that it is not something I could define and that I could only speak in terms of the emotions that it generates within; it signifies, passion, love, and intensity, and at times it gives rise to frustration, as well as fear as I am obliged to work with my inner soul. It is an affair of sincerity and perhaps one of the greatest qualities an artist can have is authenticity. I hope that you enjoy your visit through my Gallery. Do not hesitate to ask me any questions. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Jezel Website : Articles on Jezel Art on: (English) %e2%88%9e-pintura/ (English/Spanish)
