ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was a geometrical artist, always dealing with lines, shapes, circles and meaningless forms until I felt the urge of inserting life in my works, people chatting, female friends chatting as we usually do. I chose the sketch technique as my favorite one, the one that I used to practice when I first studied art and the one that thought me about composition, figure, balance and so on. Its economy of means also fascinates me and I am influenced by oriental art and its simplicity.

I am a Brazilian visual artist, working mainly with geometric patterns, both in abstract works and in figurative ones. I have shown drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations in some cultural centers and galleries and I have a sculpture from 1989 as part of the Fine Arts National Museum in Rio de Janeiro collection. It is currently exhibited in its Brazilian Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery and it is cited in its catalog. Now, I am entering a new phase, in which human figure is present, in an urge to communicate with people. I needed some identification other than the achievements of geometric images to link people to my work and I began to build human figures using geometric forms. The results can be seen in the number of likes beneath the new works shown on Instagram and Facebook, which encourage me to go further on this path.
