This piece was very much inspired by giving a traditional fine art color palette a new modern flair. This piece has incredible depth of layers and shapes. The piece moves outwards from the bottom center red area. There is a degree of sense in this chaos. The colors set mood and tempo throughout the piece. There is minimal and very selective, delicate outlining on some of the shaped strokes that make up the image. The purpose is to bring attention to certain areas of the piece and give it some aggression. Adding to the collectable nature of this art piece is the fact that Lance's style is very unique and recognizable - he copies no one. The original is hand-signed by the artist. The textured finish and ultra-heavyweight of this 19 mils beautiful art watercolor paper provides a high-quality look and feel. Watercolor paper adds a refreshing natural texture. Collectors who like to handle out-of-frame prints will appreciate this paper's rigidity and surface. Watercolor Paper has a natural white exterior and is neutral-toned, acid-free, and made from 100% cotton rag for archival longevity.

I am an avid artist. I have been engaged in art in many forms for 37 years. My works include glass, oils, acrylics, photography, sculpting, paper and digital media. My work is to convey a story, idea or emotion via light, color and shape. More recently - my art has been more experimental in nature. I have been looking for new ways to express color, mood, shapes and interaction. These works tend to be much less invested in the heavy mood and concentrate on lighter, brighter and more inviting abstraction. My goal for what I call 'geo abstracts' is to represent societal interactions but in a positive more harmonious way. Staring at the geo abstracts it is easy to get lost in the interaction and huge array of fading, blending colors. I try to tell a story in a new way. Many of my pieces are most often inspired by my life and experiences. I hope you find interest in viewing my work, that perhaps it moves you and inspires thoughts, feeling and emotions. I am interested in the interactions and relationships of people, places, groups, communities and ideas. In traditional mediums, I tend to lean toward abstract works and probably more on the minimalist side. I try to convey more with less while striving to not overwork a piece. I grew up in western Washington state west of Seattle. I spent a lot of time in Seattle, the waterfront and Pikes Place market. There is a lot of the eclectic art ideas in the pacific northwest. I think the dark, rainy, gloominess of the Pacific Northwest has made me turn to a grungier style.
