About The Artwork
This work is part of a continuing series of mixed-media works juxtaposing images of creation and destruction, advances and setbacks. Images are drawn in charcoal, screenprinted, collaged and painted in layers on a vintage cardboard store display panel creating an interplay and conversation between images. This piece features images of Apollo astronauts preparing for a flight, a construction crew clearing debris from a gas explosion, and a title taken from a song by Fred Frith.
