ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was inspired by the Vermont sunlight streaming through the kitchen window onto the green slate counter where our freshly purchased apples and onions were resting. I hope the viewer can feel the warm sunlight as they look at the surface of the counter and the fruit and vegetables. I chose to paint this because I adore the way the light reflects on the surface of the items.

I was raised in Clearwater, FL. For as long as I can remember I have had a yearning to paint. In June 2017, I enrolled in an acrylic painting class at Dazzio Art Studio in St Petersburg, FL. After 18 months, I started exploring on my own and continue to hone my skills as an artist. I completed my first commissioned painting in January 2020 and have been featured in exhibits at the St Pete ArtsXchange and Tampa Regional Artists. “I attempt to be courageous in my use of color and I am enamored with the way light touches objects.
