View In My Room
I visited a local nursing home when I was young. It was a snowy winter day. I couldn't prepare much. I bought toothpaste, soap, warm clothes, socks, scarves, gloves, etc. with my pocket money I saved from running errands for my parents, and I went there with my friends. And I helped clean a little and listened to grandmothers' stories. Even though I didn't do much, it quickly turned into night. At that time, an old lady suddenly opened the door and came in. Suddenly, other grandmothers became noisy and collected all the gifts we brought and gave them to her. she took all that stuff, said thanks and left . As Bong Joon Ho said, people with excessive greed appear everywhere. To say that someone succeeds in society is to succeed by trampling on the failures of countless others. That's what I thought when I watched Hirokazu Koreeda's movie too. How much do I know of the difficulties of so many people? I know nothing. So the movie instead features people who know their difficulties, creating some opportunity to help each other. Some languages they understand are created and warmed up. However, looking at the reality of society of the marginalized, one side of the heart is heavy and painful. I think what Bong Joon-ho and Koreeda are trying to say is no different. In that situation, it is not easy for people to overcome it on their own. The greed of human nature is endless, so of course it follows them everywhere, still, the social system shouldn't push them to extremes. Because we are all greatly affected by the environment. Creating an environment that respects human rights is really important. (July 2, 2023)
