A U R A O F A S U M M E R S U N S E T About the piece: This artwork is a part of a yearlong study Natashia completed in an effort to recreate the colors and patterns she often intuitively sees as she's giving a reading. To broaden her understanding and relationship with color, Natashia examined the energy of various general emotions and of experiences that invoke specific emotions (such as observing an element in nature.) Her intention was to create a piece of artwork that would essentially transcend space and time, so that the viewer could also experience such emotion. "Aura of a Summer Sunset was created to capture not only the magestic visual delight of a summer sunset, but the feeling of experiencing it as well. On this particular evening, the sky was a blazing spectacle of vibrant orange, gold, and red- all colors I associate with warmth and happiness. A hint of purple (intuition) provided an aesthetic balance, symbolic of the inuitive "knowing" we feel in regard to our connection with nature.
