ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I grew up admiring Chinese paintings of mountains. The mountains were so tall I thought they were stylized. When I got to Vietnam, I realized "No, the karst mountains really looked like that." So I painted them.

He loves to travel, much of his work is like "postcards" for his Osage relatives in Oklahoma. Early influences include the Japanese Ukiyo-e Woodblock print artist Hiroshige.
