About The Artwork
This was a photograph I took of my friend Ben jumping over the parking meter as we walked down Mission street in San Francisco 2008 while I attended the Academy of Art University. As a student, I met others in my same situation from all over the world and at night we would discover the lively streets of the Mission. In 2009 the Alumni Silent Auction Sold my work along with others I presented that night. This work represents to me the best example of using my own life as an Inspiration for my work. These are the moments that spontaneously exist to bring humor, humanity and energy into a collectors viewers life as brings meaning to mine. If I do recall, I actually instructed him to jump. The most outstanding part of this image are the obscured moving lights against the focused leaping figure in the foreground. Even at a distance from my creation my love for it grows more every day. This is the only place to buy such a print. I will also keep a live number of the prints out there. (this is my first time selling prints online, I usually only sale at Art Fairs/Events)
