Dayana Reyes Aguilar is to be found among Cuba’s new generation of young artists. After finishing at ISA ( Institute of Superior Art), Havana. Dayana moved to Copenhagen where she works out of her Studio in the city center. She is very experimental and is not afraid of striving from one style and exspression to another, in her youthfull search for powerfull visual stories. All her paintings come with a strong story. Stories from the good and sometimes extremely harsh and hard life in Cuba. No matter the stories, her paintings and installations is always full of color and life. Cuban art is with no doubt the next wave on the international art scene and I do hope that Dayana will be catching that wave with her fresh and youthful visual language.
