ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Blue Space #4 depicts a minimal semi-abstracted landscape. Part of the ongoing 'Blue Spaces' series. Mediterranean light dictates the colours of the scene, emblazoning pink and orange hues on the side of the structure, while shade offers a sharp cooling contrast on the other. Vivid blue sits in the background, offering a further sense of bright light. The painting is inspired by modern architecture, and the monolithic structural works of Luis Barragan. The painting embraces the visual crossovers between the real, surreal, abstract and construct. Painted in acrylic on gesso primed canvas. Hanging fixtures not supplied.
