Blue Vase, it may be small but it is perfectly formed! As you can see, this painting is not the whole composition, it’s a fraction of the whole. It is as though the viewer's view of the vase is obscured. The paint is built up and is an impasto style, giving texture and depth. I love acrylic paint, to be able to build up layers. This is a very textural piece and encourages the viewer to run their fingers across it to feel the depth.
