Stübing is a Valencian plastic artist of German origin who has a long history and scientific recognition in the field of Botany, a science he has taught as a university professor for 30 years at the University of Valencia. His first actions in the field of art are concretized in numerous photographic contributions that illustrate various books on plants and eco-systems of which he is also author. He decides to expand his creative field by developing pictorial works that initially show a clear geometric tendency that progressively evolves towards biomorphology. Nowadays, his work, mainly pictorial, can be defined as an ambiguous abstraction inspired by natural plants and landscapes, for whose realization he uses unconventional and current materials such as methacrylate. During the last 2 years he has focused his artistic activity on alternative photography, printing techniques and his hybridization with painting His works have been selected in more than 50 competitions, some of the highest level such as the BMW Prize, having won several awards and prizes, made several exhibitions both collective (more than 40) and individual (8). He has works in official institutions: University of Valencia, Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, Jiloca Study Center), Bancaja Foundation, British Institute of Sevilla and Ministry of Agriculture of Spain.
