ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Botanical moon watercolour - Botanical colour inspired moon is painted in Watercolour by Rebecca Hyde of Wild Earth Art Botanical moon in watercolour, a painting inspired by my love for nature and botanical colours. The original was painted in Windsor Newton pan set and Jackson brushes on textured cold pressed 300gsm watercolour paper. I was inspired by my son while trying to home educate with some art. I am new to painting and have only attempted watercolour so far. During the lockdown, I stumbled upon an organic passion for watercolour painting. We started nature painting using my sons watercolour pencils during lockdown which has beautifully resulted in an organic love for watercolour painting. This is my ninth watercolour painting. Prints are on high-quality watercolour paper - 10 by 8"

While new to painting, I’ve been a graphic designer since 21. I started in the greeting card industry alongside other inspirational artists, and then teaching Advanced Graphic Design at a private college in Oxford, followed by starting a design and print company. Now, I have a web design business in Oxfordshire, which I love, yet my creative side is now bursting from the screen on to paper in the form of painting. During the lockdown, I have stumbled organically upon a passion for watercolour painting in particular thanks to my son’s watercolour pencils while we drew together.
