ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Bees are too important not to be celebrated! I just read that bees are endangered and it would be devastating if they went extinct. Most people think of danger when they think of bees, but here are some fun facts about the awesomeness that is the bee. -All worker bees are female. -A bee produces a teaspoon of honey (about 5 grams) in her lifetime. -To produce a kilogram of honey, bees fly the equivalent of three times around the world in air miles. -The type of flower the bees take their nectar from determines the honey’s flavor. -Male bees (drones) have bigger eyes to help them find the Queen Bee. -Bees mate high in the sky. Afterwards the male bee loses his reproductive organs and dies. BEES! Am I Right? I created this piece by painting the bee with acrylic paint,Copic markers, and gel ink. I then digitally added the beautiful background .

I am an artist who lives in sunny (hot.humid,muggy,buggy,rainy) beautiful Central Florida. Sometimes I have the art world TOTALLY figured out, and then when I wake up, I remember that figuring out the art world isn't actually a thing. I am ever evolving, and never settled in an art style. Sometimes that's a cool trait, mostly it's not. One thing that I pretty much stay true to is my love of depicting pop culture. In 99% of the prints I offer, I create the central artwork with acrylic paint,Copic markers, and ink. The only thing I add digitally is the solid color back ground because I like when the solid color is smooth and consistent, and occasionally I add some neon to my work.
