This painting is called “Crossroads” inspired by the Tracy Chapman song of the same name. It is about standing at a point in your life where there is a decisions need to be made. Which road will you take to go further in life? The „easy“ road, the road that will satisfy the people around you or the one that is true to yourself? Sometimes life gets confusing and you get lost trying to find the right direction for the course of your life. That is why the painting itself is at first confusing - the city, the lights, the different means of transport, the reflections - all standing for different ways of distractions you face going through life. And still, there is focus in her eyes because she knows where she is heading. To make the right decision at the crossroads of your life you need to have a clear vision of who you are and more importantly - of who you want to become. This painting is about not losing your focus, about going your own way with confidence and about having faith in the journey - no matter what.
