Cambridge Circus- where thoughts meet is a compositional scenery I refer to as “fundamental equilibrium” depicting the artist's uncertain thoughtful journey about reconnecting his art and life with everyday happenstance (the nature of hustling to belong). This connection is between his original place of birth and his immediate environment (United Kingdom). On my daily commute to work, sitting on the top of London bus approaching Cambridge Circus junction, I often get stuck in traffic jam. Waiting patiently at the top of the London bus observing every fleeting moment. Psychologically, like am in a trance, I often get submerged in thoughts as it raves in my inner self. It’s often a recall for a subtle moment, a time to reflect and think on how to reconnect and connect my passion in life with the present happenstance. This thoughtful connection flows within as I make my journey through the traffic jam at Cambridge Circus London. The inspiration from the piece is about the fleeting moment of thoughtful adaptation on how to connect and fuse the past glory into my new environment as it encompasses my art, life and culture. In articulating the painting process, I have infused the use of African traditional motifs as a reflective guild between two different localities. In the pursuit for a common passionate identity, life becomes dynamic, the connections that matters are the satisfaction derived when keeping your passion at peace with the body, mind and soul.

Born in Lagos. Attended the School of Art and Design, Federal Polytechnic, Auchi and graduated with Higher National Diploma in Painting and General Art. He has to his credit many group shows, private commissions and solo exhibition in London, Africa and abroad and has participated in art residency with Professor Ablade Glover and with Kofi Setordji under the sponsorship of Ford Foundation. Also took part in ‘’imagine art after’’ a world art project in the UK. SkyArt Portrait Artist of the Year 2014, SkyArt Landscape Artist of the Year 2015 and 2016 Titus has particular interest in painting landscapes and sceneries. His painting technique is elaborate and distinguishable. There is honesty and sincerity expressed in his pieces. He paints with a palette knife, mostly in oil but also water colour and pastel. Titus view life as one great adventure, travelling is his passion, and he loves to create works to share with the world which he believes in someway will impact society and inspire good ness in humanity. Art is man’s quest for the truth either consciously or unconsciously done. It is inexhaustible. The quest for the never ending truth is what I call individualistic tendency. With this, through the exploration of colour and texture, I hope to convey a strong sense of emotion with the ever changing mood and voice of my inner mind which constantly surprises and inspires me. I have interest in painting landscapes and everyday happenstance; also have the creative tendency to express my self with other mediums, styles and approach. This evoke as a result of much saturation with my usual interest. Differ from the conventional painting process, my paintings are often distinct. I represent things in a truthful manner. In achieving a creative nature of my artistic process, I have a strong command of my subject and material, from the basic background, I’ll paint with a palette knife, a complete painting from the top to the bottom like a computer screen refresh. I look at my life and travel, as a large expanding mosaic where the whole is greater than the individual part.
