ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This acrylic painting was painted on the Dubuji Boardwalk, walking distance from my studio in the Daintree national park. I often paint firstly with watercolour in the field to capture the light and composition. The Painting Evolved after many visits to this Pandanus Tree surrounded by Red Beach Almond Trees. The wet tropics is ever changing, lush and thick with strangling vegetation. Light plays a huge part in the movement and colour is rife. I have used a linear motion and circular light to capture life in this Landscape.
