Caroline Print

I was born on May 10th 1968 in Capiata (Paraguay). At the age of seven, I moved to Buenos Aires together with my parents and my eleven brothers. I began sculpting and drawing from an early age, I made animals with clay and let it dry in the sun then drew on it. Another passion was sewing, in fact I was twelve when I started working in my sister´s atelier after school. At that time what started as a hobby became something serious until it transformed into a true passion. Then I studied Fashion Design at a prestigious argentinian designer school, Mariano Toledo. At the age of 25 I launched my own fashion label “Luis Rodas”, I also developed and produced for others brands. During this same period I studied professional make-up as a hobby. In 2001 I moved to Madrid (Spain) where I founded a fashion brand “Eghos”. After a year and a half I moved to Valencia where I opened my own shop. In 2008 L´Oreal Paris offered me the opportunity to work in the company as a professional make-up artist. I also worked for M.A.C, Lancome and Dior. In 2012 I went to Sardegna (Italy) for four months, then I came back to Spain, to settle in Barcelona where I actually live. This city really inspires me, because of its beauty, multiculturalism and art. Here I have studied at Carmen de los Llanos studio, a well known artist and professor, it was then that I connected immediately with pictorial art. Nowadays I am dedicated fully to painting and drawing. I use mixed drawing techniques with colours using watercolours, markers and pencils as main tools. I create my own models which I paint and draw inspired by natural elements from flora and fauna, getting them into a surreal universe full of colours and details.
