ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Oil painting, mixed technique. Representing the Belvedere and the Cerbère railway, my childhood village. This is what I could see when I left my house. I loved to see the trains arrive next to this monument that is the Belvedere, like a boat appears out of nowhere

Born on May 22, 1980 in Beauvais in the Oise, grew up in the south of France, near Perpignan.Surrounded by the Pyrenees and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, this is where she draws her inspiration. After teaching in high school in art history she moved away from the artistic world. It was not until 2011 that the desire to paint became so strong again that she resumed her brushes. A self-taught painter, the discovery of knife painting in 2017 allowed him to express himself even more freely and to transcribe his emotions more simply. The search for new textures thanks to the knife fascinates her. A simple mountain comes to life little by little by superimposing different layers of colors. The paint is deposited with the knife in thin layers, like a brush. She uses natural pigments, which gives another tone to her works, allowing a deeper color range that suits her better.Close to nature, it is the mountain landscapes that she loves to explore, both by their grandeur and by the serenity that emerges from them.
