ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Krasnoe Selo was build in 1701. It is interesting that in Russian language "Krasnoe" means “beautiful”. In 1934 the church was closed and destroyed by сcommunist regime. Luckily, In 1996 ruins of this church was transferred to Russian Orthodox Christian.

Nikolay was restoring icons in a St. Danilov Monastery in Moscow, where later he became a deacon. Icons inspired Nikolay to become a Christian and he shared this passion with Mikhail.
