Composition for Connectedness Print

I believe that we need to change for a better world. Change starts within our inner selves, and I get in touch with my inner self whenever I’m in nature. There, I observe that every being is connected to each other and they are never bothered from another. All together, they form a unity. We, humans, are also part of this unity. Then, it should be possible for us also to live together without feeling bothered from one another. The way must be through love. Love would enable us just to BE and to live together in peace, to live in UNITY, as a one whole being, as the ONE. In my paintings, I aim to express this kind of unity, connectedness; a oneness that will bring an individual peace, which I believe is a good step towards a better world. When I started to compose my paintings, I was inspired by the snails in my garden. Then I found out that Prof R Chase of McGill University in Montreal has suggested the ancient myth of Cupid's arrows might be based on early observations of the love dart behavior of a species of land snail. Then, I thought, why not throw love arrows and embrace our unity?
