I was born in 1979 in the small Ukrainian city of Chernihiv. I've been passionate about drawing since childhood. As a teenager, I took regular private lessons with the art restorer Raisa Bogolyub and the theater designer Alexander Symonenko. I worked as a set designer at a drama theater. During this period, I was drawn to the realistic style, which, to my surprise, evolved into surrealism. Around age 27, following a painful breakup with my partner, I stopped painting. The outbreak of the war gave me a new impetus—the need for self-expression. After a sixteen-year hiatus, my self-image changed. I realized I was an artist and couldn't stop painting. My style also changed. My painting became lighter, brighter, with post-impressionist overtones.
