ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The artwork was painted completely underwater during scuba diving with special environmentally friendly paints. This technology was developed by the author. These paints are resistant and durable, like oil paints. Corals are surprisingly whimsical in shape and color. They can’t be compared to anything else on earth. Green coral, like an open cabbage, attracted my creative eye and became the hero of the first painting in my new series. I was working on this story for 4 dives. These were short dives by my standards. Their duration was less than an hour and a half each. I was swooped by flocks of tropical fish of all colors in this place. That’s why I consider it to be unique. They chased each other merrily, tasted something in the water column, and on the coral. Then they noticed me and started to follow the brush with curiosity... There are more than 200 interviews and articles about my artworks in mass media of more than 30 countries. U can find some of them here. ⠀ Mixed media on canvas. One of kind artwork. This artwork is framed, but It can be sent in tube or on the stretcher or in frame. The artwork is titled and signed on the back side.

Olga Belka is a unique underwater artist the only underwater portraitist in the world. She developed a unique technology of painting in salt water allowing her to paint from nature detailing the smallest details of the underwater world. She travels and paints all over the world. Olga managed to achieve not only the desired visual effect and environmental friendliness but also the durability of the paintings.
