My word art reflects the Zeitgeist, the increasingly divided societies we live in, and the problem of disengaged individuals spending their lives in mindless online pursuits instead of addressing the pressing political and social problems confronting every country on the planet and humanity as a whole. Instead of socially conscious and politically active citizens, a majority of the Generation X and Y and Z and beyond seems to be morphing into automatons, just a notch above the batteries exploited in the dystopian movies of the Matrix trilogy. Share my art and join the rebellion! The art has many layers. In this case, I started with a white background, then applied multiple layers of metallic silver. Then I paint the text in oil. My signature font is Boston Traffic. Finally, the entire painting is covered in steel wire mesh. Between the political messages, the Boston Traffic text, and the steel wire, the work is unique and identifiable.
