ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I hate to waste supplies, so I like to keep some unfinished canvases on the side, and when I finish a painting session, I apply any leftover paints onto another piece. This is a months-long complication of leftover paint. I arrived at the name Dongo from a photo I took a few years ago of a colorful sunset on Lake Como. Looking at the map in the direction this was taken, of the mountains and lake before me, there is a small town called Dongo. I love the name, and I find it befitting to this piece!

I am an artist from Nashville, Tennessee. I have been working in the music business, touring the world with musicians for the last 30 years. The extensive travel experience has provided endless inspiration for my art from all corners of the globe. While painting is my favorite form of expression, I also am an avid photographer and still dabble often in graphic design. I am a founding member of a small group of abstract painters called Contemporary Collective of Nashville. I have also been a member of the Nashville Artist Guild for several years. Nearly every painting I do is on 1.5" deep gallery-wrapped canvas. The edges are always painted with a neutral color to compliment the painting, so they can be hung with or without a frame.
