ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The image of a clear-obscure contrast based on a twilight backlight appeared to me as I was driving in the countryside listening to music by Richard Wagner. I wanted to produce an atmosphere tinged with a certain density and so I used very little water to make the melts, the glazes were only used for transitions from dark masses to light areas. For me, music is the intrinsically abstract counterpart of painting, it is its indispensable complement, whether it is for the person who contemplates the work or for the one who creates it. It is common for me to associate shapes and colors with the sounds I hear, sometimes they are a little blurry landscapes that I try to reproduce more clearly while preserving the emotion that gave them birth. https://youtu.be/cz_zDP44-BY
