I am humbled by the purity of these exquisite buds. It was dawn, April 10th, The air clear and pure along the riverbank where this old scraggly crab apple that I remember from my youth hangs on. I seek its beauty every spring as a herald of the waking from another long winter. I felt the energy of Mother Nature coursing through me as I reveled in her unadorned simplicity ! I feel I’ve captured this aura in my painting. I felt it again when I was working in my studio. This is why I paint - to revel in life.
