ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I created this piece through the inspiration I got from the garden I visited, the artwork preaches the essence of nature to magnify the existence of human beings, starting from the air we breathe to the soil that has to solve our waste. Nature has been both visible and invisible mother to us, taking care of the insignificant things that could cause havoc to our existence. These colors blend with each other to represent what nature is capable of doing to foster living. we must realize that without this (Earth) we cannot survive a day. During the creation of this piece, I've come to discover that our life itself, is not only supported by our creator but the creator himself, making it a priority that we in a fruitful, progressive, and accommodating environment (Mother Nature)

Being an impressionist artist, born in a small town in Osun state, Nigeria, Dunmade Ayegbayo grew to develop an interest in art due to his first experience as an artist during his visit to Osun Osogbo Festival, a Festival that is well celebrated and acknowledged in west-African and beyond. and the second experience that broadened his horizon was visiting a museum in Ile-Ife due to the story of an ancient gold mined in Ilesha, Osun State. this gave him the revelation to be more connected to nature and become a naturalist. Dunmade has been influenced by Damola Ayegbayo (An Expressionist artist), the Late Caleb Adegoke (a sculptor and his grandfather), and Jean Michelle Basquiat, His bold work and the story behind those works, have inspired Dunmade to explore the roots behind human relationships with colours. "I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and being alive is a celebration", "I went on to study through practical experience and self-learning by studying the works of Damola Ayegbayo and other great artists. I work primarily with Acrylic and I currently work from Ibadan, Nigeria"
