This work resembles the stories of Levitan. I feel very close with Levitan’s artworks. I consider him as a very strong landscape painter. He reveals not only the beauty of nature, the vibrancy of the atmosphere, like many other landscape painters. But also, depicts the depth of soul of the people who live in these places. I wanted to show in my painting silence, peace, stillness. Like time is stopped and it is no matter of the past and of the future. Means only present. This view of nature at strong tree that is older that one hundred years, at this strong river, that feeds surrounds for thousands of years, a gentle wind blowing on your face, bringing aroma of plants, flowers, countryside. It is painted in bright, rich colours. It can be attributed to impressionistic or expressionistic styles. Was created in 2020. Searching for my own path in painting took me a certain time. It has passed nine years since my first attempts to paint. However, during last several years I have started feeling self-assured, as my works reached desired level of skilfulness and artistic approach, and I really started liking them. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists’ ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke. Now I look into the future with greater confidence, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!
