I began painting this picture over a year ago when I had to separate from my husband due to the war. I fled to the United States while my husband had no documents to join me, so we had to part ways. I painted this picture while being completely alone in a large unknown country. Initially, it depicted a dark night with two boats gliding in the middle of the sea. The whole painting was infused with my sadness and sorrow for him. However, we soon couldn't be apart from each other for even a minute longer, so he decided to come to me through Mexico as we had no other options. With each passing day of waiting, I added strokes to the boats and the lake, which reflected the state of my soul at the time. And when he returned to me soon after, he gave me a bouquet of purple and white flowers. This bouquet deeply touched my heart for life, so one evening I completely filled in the painting that was initially depicted on this canvas and depicted a bouquet of mighty flowers that seemed to stretch to the sky. This painting has become an unforgettable story of love and life trials for me. Its creation was a way to express my emotions and experiences related to parting with a loved one and searching for meaning in a new life.
