ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired to create this artwork from a friendship project that I had started with a new person. We were going to create a T-shirt design to buy and wear. He was a botanist and I love flowers, he introduced me to the Fireweed flower. The Fireweed flower is one of the first wildflowers to grow back after an area has been decimated by a forest fire, hence its name. Unfortunately, it didn't work out with the man and I ended designing and painting the flower all by myself. It all worked out in the end because I really love this painting and have put it on a hoodie to wear.
