ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Frida was a strong, resilient woman ahead of her time. Her life was not easy but she still found ways to enjoy it and to be a great artist. She was no afraid to be different and was proud of who she was. She is an inspiration to me. In this watercolor I love the contrast between the well defined edges in her features and the loose brush strokes in the flowers. This painting is on 100% cotton professional watercolor paper.
