ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by the work of the Netherlands artist Jan van Huysum (1682-1749). A rich harvest of grapes, peaches and other fruits is presented in this still life. Each berry is carefully painted out with thin strokes of oil paint, from which they look like real ones. Light penetrates the thin skin of fruits and plays from the inside. Such still lifes were very popular in the Renaissance. I sought to achieve photographic accuracy of the transmission of objects and chiaroscuro, filled the canvas with a large number of objects, making them the perfect composition. Such a fruit still life in the Renaissance style will look great in the dining room, stimulating an appetite, or in the kitchen, especially if it is decorated in a matching style with a predominance of brown and wine tones.
