Getting Out on the Water Print

This is a small painting from a photograph. I started doing these after an unusual photograph fell out of a book I borrowed. The photo surprisingly seemed to illustrate the conclusion of the book which interested me because it seemed to tell a story, so I started to look for similar photos that seemed to have a story behind them. After the pandemic started I began looking at the photos I collected in a different light and began seeing little stories about how people were dealing with the pandemic. This one suggests to me the desire to get out of the house and neighborhood and out onto the water again. Hanging hardware included.
