I drew inspiration from the fusion of Rod Stewart's musical charisma and the divine Hindu imagery embodied in the lips of the Goddess Kali. The artwork unfolds as a cosmic tapestry, with the vastness of deep space taking the form of a young nebula reminiscent of Rod Stewart, entwined with lips reminiscent of the iconic Rolling Stones logo. The medium, though hazardous, served a crucial purpose—extracting compounds from roofing tar to represent the perilous nature of the creative process. The vibrant hues, achieved with oil paint, breathe life into the cosmic nebulas, while the tar resin embodies the enigmatic essence of dark matter. Through this unique amalgamation, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation in viewers, inviting them to explore the interplay between celestial beauty and the perilous journey of artistic creation.
