ABOUT THE ARTWORK
‘Golden One’ This symbol is instantly recognisable and relatable, which is an addition to my pop-art. It is simple, yet very popular for it imbues what everyone yearns for, love. If it is given, it often received in different ways, but not always understandable, unlike this image. Whether it is instant, easy, a slow burner or challenging, the best is enduring love and that comes with a test of time. It is like a time and place that is for two, then again it could be like space, a voyage to who knows where. This particular one in yellow/amber, is titled ‘Golden One’, which is done in mixed media on a canvas panel. In total it measures 40cm x 40cm and 4mm in thickness and would look complete in a frame. I have signed it on the back of the panel, together with the other information.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
