My interest about painting arose, when I was 14 years old. Famous artist from all around the world inspired me, increased my inner fantasy, I tried to express everything trough brush, different colors, depicting universe from my point of view. Then, immediately, I started studying in Tbilisi Academy of Arts. The main course was theatre painting, reason of choosing this field, was my indefinite love of theatre. Theatre itself is social phenomenon, which can cause fundamental changes in human beings, while watching spectacle, you can stay away from daily life and routine, you can travel to imaginary spaces. Scenography is always incomplete until the performer steps into the playing space and engages the audience. Moreover, scenography is the joint statement of the director and visual artist of their view of the play, opera or dance, that is being presented to the audience as a united piece of work. Costume design is a kind of instrument to reveal the inner nature and character of an actor. Characters body plastics, and his costume is easily perceptible for spectator, so you have to work really hard, in order to create sophisticated visual artwork, which includes many detailed aspects. In Georgia theatre is highly respected, there are many young directors and talented theatre actors, that’s why interest in theatre painting is very actual. My passion is painting. As an artist I have many inspirations, but I don’t copy any of my favorite painters, I just take a glance, or watch thousand times, inspect very single detail. I love examining new artists, refreshing my favorite list, which can be changed immediately, I respect their talent and to my way of thinking, it helps me to grow as an artist.
