ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I wanted to create something different: painted entire background with cream white color, when dry i placed the canvas on the floor, and using a squeeze bottle of black paint created the random black circles, i wanted to create all kind of imperfect circles, for me it resembles a connection between different people, all equal but different at the same time

Miri is an Argentinian-born artist based in Israel. Miri’s painting styles are abstract, semi-abstract, and realistic. She loves them all and strives to explore and improve them constantly. Her abstract paintings are versatile, and their outcome depends on the tools and techniques chosen for each painting. Over the years, Miri has developed many painting techniques, which involve the use of brushes, spatulas, sponges, rollers, and silicon squeegees. She starts randomly and works intuitively, getting inspired by the next steps as the painting develops. The outcome is expressive and captivating abstracts. When working on semi-abstract landscape paintings, Miri uses the same techniques described above without any preliminary drawing. This is because she wants to create a very loosened painting style. The images she paints are usually imaginary landscapes. In her realistic paintings, she sometimes adds some abstractive elements. Miri has participated in 2 solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions in Israel (2018-2023). She has also exhibited in New York (2019), In Italy at a digital exhibition (2021), and in Madrid (Dec 2022). Miri was featured in the Gold List top contemporary artists of today of the international Art Market Magazine, in Oct 2022; and in the Capsules Book, a premium boutique publication based in Melbourne, Australia, named: Curatorial Volume.3, Leaders in Contemporary Art, 2021. Miri was awarded the Gold List International award, a certificate of excellence for unique artistic style, and high-technique achievement in the contemporary art world; and also received the Special Mention Award in the 2022 Art Vue Foundations’ yearly price competition.
