ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painting animals is one of my favorite, the elegance and graciousness of horses fascinating. To me, they are so colorful, always full of energy. Painting them in all different color palettes with bold strokes is what I have aimed for in this piece. I have mostly used light transparent washes superimposed with opaque strokes to achieve the desired effect. The markmaking in parts of the canvas is a part of the process.
