ABOUT THE ARTWORK
All my work represents Thematic Convergence: a culmination of my Passions & Interests, Education & Career, and my own special process, all tailored through humbly unique life experiences. This self-guided meditation on Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media 110lb | 160 gsm paper, set to Russian Circles | Station, is no different. Here, I try to keep my resting heart rate between 40-60 beats per minute while I: 1 Experience the delightful simplicity of Winsor & Newton’s Cotman Range, while I 2 Remote View a quiet mountain with some water, and 3 Let the Hummingbird’s flitter whisper out through anxious fluidity. Tools: *Watercolor, Winsor & Newton Indigo *Watercolor, Winsor & Newton Purple Lake *Watercolor, Winsor & Newton Pewter All work in this pad documents my first official attempts at familiarizing myself with Art’s wide spectrum of tools and materials, as my time and budget allow. This entire sketchbook remains a tribute to any who have come before me, and an astounding testament to my wife’s true love and support while I continue to try to pick a favorite color.

Art has always been my only safe space, where I almost feel comfortable trying to express myself. Art also takes many forms, and so do I. For most of my life this was only through rushed doodles and sketches in notebooks, for many different reasons. I’d like to slow down now, so I’m here for educational purposes. My original work is deeply personal, and highly exploratory in nature. Additionally, at times, it is difficult or even painful to produce. To this point, sometimes real-world traumas need to be re-lived to even contemplate certain subject matters.
