Painting: Egg Tempera on Wood Size: 12,5 x15 cm (4,9 x 5,9 D) The icon "St. Nicholas the Wonderworker" was painted on a linden board with natural pigments with the addition of egg emulsion. The background is covered with gold leaf. Halo and fields are decorated with chasing. Melted gold was also used in the work. Saint Nicholas is one of the most revered and beloved saints, he is considered the patron saint of children and travelers. This icon will be a wonderful gift for both an adult and a child. Materials: linden icon board, pavoloka, levkas, egg tempera, gold leaf, melted gold, natural linseed oil, varnish.
