About The Artwork

This painting would like to give shape to the sense of confusion that is often present in our days: incomprehensible bureaucracy, incoherent rules and questionable but automatically accepted priorities for the quiet life. The scene has bright colors but it is chaotic and paradoxical: the authority responsible for both the control of the rules and the safety is absent; behind the lifeguard's empty chair you can see abandoned life-saving tools and a completely out of control situation which, however, no one seems to notice. The painting has been realized during a two-months art residency in Iceland in spring 2021. Final varnish, signed certificate of authenticity.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am a visual artist living and working in Turin. In my practice I usually take visual references from the universe of swimming to create artworks that deal with contemporaneity and the new problems involved in being part of it, with particular regard for the environment and young people’s difficulties in finding their way for the future. In my main painting series Pools (2017 - ongoing), I use recurring elements in my own life experience, modifying and recombining them in order to create paintings that can provide an active reflection on today's critical issues. Over the last years and within a context of eco-sustainable practice, I've started a study project on recycled materials, in order to find alternative supports to the canvas and question the hierarchy between the various components of the artwork. In my shop you will find also some landscape paintings and studies of old masters that I realized during my art studies.
