ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I made this piece two weeks after an attempt on my own life as a way to communicate what it’s like to live with chronic mental illness as well as consequences of trauma, like PTSD. I wanted to convey a message of hope, and that as long as you wake up the next morning you’re still winning, regardless of how much of a battle each day may be.
